Talcomb is one of six cottages converted from a Water driven saw mill built Circa 1740.
It is situated at the foot of Seldom Seen Revine in the quiet and aptly named hamlet of Seldom Seen, on the outskirts of Thornthwaite Village, Talcomb nestles beside the comb beck overlooking a sparkling waterfall.
Talcomb can be your starting point for many walks up in to Winlatter Forest or on the surrounding Fells. The larger village Forest or on the surrounding Fells. The larger village of Braithwaite is only one mile away where you can visit a country pub or dine in one of the hotels or bars, or alternatively the bustling market town of Keswick with its many shops, museums, attractions, fine pubs and restaurants not forgetting Derwen*****er Lake whatever you are looking for you will find it in Keswick which is only 3 miles away.
Talcomb has 1 double and 1 twin bedroom. Cosy lounge/dinning room with TV, video real coal fire for those cosy nights in, double glazing. A large array of videos, books and games for your entertainment. The cottage is heated throughout by electric storage heaters.
There is a luxury fitted kitchen with built in electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer and everything you need to make either a light snack or meal for the whole family. There is garden furniture available for those beautiful summer evenings
