Set in the mountains above Ephesus, just 15km from the beaches of the Aegean, lies the little village of Sirince, one of the most beautiful villages in Turkey.
Surrounded by olivegroves, vineyards and peach gardens, Sirince is a peaceful place where Turkish village life and traditional customs can be seen.
Honeysuckle House nestles next to the restored church of St John in the heart of the old village. Built in 1802 the house is a listed historical building. Sleeping up to 5 people it makes a comfortable and characterful holiday home.

The lower floor is built of stone and the upper of plaster and lathe, jutting out from the lower on wooden beams. The floors, ceilings and much of the interior are made of wood, and downstairs the wooden beams are visible. For Sirince it is quite a large house, having at one time belonged to a Turkish Pasha.
It has two double rooms and one single, so the house can accommodate five people. There is a modern kitchen, dining area and bathroom downstairs. There is a courtyard garden where meals can be taken, which is enclosed by a low wall and fence.

Sirince is well located away from the developed coastal areas but close enough to reach their amenities. There are enough cafes, restaurants and shops in Sirince to enjoy it as a rural break without going further afield, and it has a wonderful get away from it all character. Within easy reach though there is so much to see in this area that it makes Sirince a perfect base for beach trips and cultural visits.
There is a frequent minibus service to Selcuk from where coaches can be taken to all parts of Turkey. Also from Selcuk minibuses can be taken to any of the nearby places of interest. the independant traveler should find it easy to and cheap to get around. In Selcuk there are also tour companies who can organize trips and transport.
