Cottage on the Costa del Sol, Spain: self-catering Country cottage (off junction N357)The cottage is on a private estate situated in the heart of beautiful Andalucia countryside. This luxurious secluded country cottage is set in a valley of orange and lemon groves with all the comforts of modern day living. It has been newly renovated to a very high standard with air conditioning and fully furnished throughout. This property is for those who appreciate tasteful decor and easy living. The two-bedroom cottage has a central hallway, which leads onto the kitchen / dining area and living area, one double bedroom and one twin room. Both bedrooms include en suite bathrooms, comfortable beds and fitted double wardrobes. Linen and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a table with 4 chairs. For relaxation the living room is styled in Andalucia colours and furnished with a three-seat sofa bed, tv and stereo, with patio doors leading out onto the stylish patio area with barbeque table & chairs.
Relax in the gardens of well maintained grounds hidden from the rest of the world, breath in the fresh air, take in the beauty of the surrounding mountain side or simply just top up your tan in style by the secluded pool. A definite for those who love long country walks, adventure holidays, exploring the Andalucia lakes and mountainside, or simply just pure peace and tranquillity. With all the comforts and charms of what Andalucia offers, you would definitely not be disappointed with a stay at Maria’s.
There is a Roman style secluded swimming pool and shower surrounded by views of mountainsides suitable for both swimmers and non-swimmers. A separate hot tub and Jacuzzi that seats 4. Private car parking is available.
The cottage is within walking distance of the local bar and restaurant. Alora and Pizarra are just 5 minutes drive away. Traditional white Spanish towns providing interesting shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets and banks. The nearest railway station is located approx 2 kilometres from the cottage. Alternatively there is a bus stop locally, which will take you straight into the heart of Malaga. The river Guadalhorce runs between Alora and Pizarra and down to Malaga. The history of Alora dates back to prehistoric times. The remains of Phoenician and Roman eras can be found in the Alora fort. Upstream of the Guadalhorce is the Lake District and El Chorro providing fresh water to enjoy both swimming and excellent fishing. The whole area, which borders the national park, is renowned for its picturesque views and is a haven for walkers and bike riding. There are plenty of golf courses nearby and if you fancy strolling along the beach, Fuengirola and Marbella are within easy reach.
