This newly renovated 2 bedroom /2 bath villetta (private independent townhouse) has been in our family for generations (I was born & raised in this villetta until I was 3 years old) and we’re happy to share it with adventures travelers searching for an ‘off the beaten path’ vacation. Southern Italy is still less traveled compared to well known regions of the north.
Others who have discovered this less touristy side of Italy, have booked our villa 48 out of 52 weeks in 2004. We were featured in Canada's leading business magazine [Globe & Mail - June 2004] as well. Visit our guest book to see what others have said about our villa.
Calabria enjoys a 6 month warm and sunny summer season (May to October). From December to March the weather is cooler/milder and great for experiencing the olive oil harvest! During early November and late April a traveler can luck out and enjoy some great weather as well.
The nearest airport is 50km from our villa in the city of Reggio Di Calabria (REG). Although, there's another airport 70 km distant from our villa at Lamezia Terme (SUF). You can rent a car, or we can arrange for a car service to pick you up and bring you to the villa.
Our villa is 500 meters from the train station (6 minute walk), 1000 meters from the town beach (15 minute walk) and 100 meters to the main town square (piazza) and boutique shopping.
Restrictions include no tobacco use, no pets, no long distance calls and compliance with all provisions of our Terms & Conditions. A copy is attached and on our website for your review. We recommend the use of a pre-paid calling card for long-distance.
A fully refundable security/damage deposit of 500 Euro is due prior ones arrival and it will be returned to them upon their departure (less any cost for potential loss or damage).

Our villetta is located in a very typical Calabrian port town in the region of Calabria (tip of the toe). It's 1 hour away from Tropea...However, the town of Gioia Tauro is ideally situated for taking many fantastic day trips (either by car or train). (we are less than 1 hour from Sicily and the Ionian coast) Gioia Tauro is the hub for the local train service in the province of Reggio Calabria, as well many national trains stop frequently in town. For greater independence and for exploring the country side we suggest renting a car.
