Sans Doubte is an end of terrace cottage, which has recently been completely renovated, and provides comfortable accommodation for four people, having two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a comfortable double bed, and the second (mezzanine) bedroom has two large single beds. The bathroom is upstairs.
Downstairs the living area is open plan, with a large breakfast bar dividing off the kitchen area from the dining/living area. There is a wood burning stove for those cooler autumn and winter nights, and a television. The cottage is located on the outer part of the centre of this attractive village which has the benefit of a baker's shop, charcuterie, general store and newsagent. The beautiful Romanesque church of St Thomas is less than 200 metres from the cottage.

|
St Thomas de Conac is a quiet village located on the Route Verte, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty, within a few kilometres of the Gironde estuary. There is a large expanse of marshland nearby which is the habitat for numerous birds and wildlife, and is an ideal area for exploration on foot or on bicycles. There are riding stables in the village, and a welcoming English owned bar. The sophisticated resort town of Royan, on the Atlantic coast at the mouth of the estuary is about forty minute's drive away. Closer to there are a number of ports, with boat moorings and restaurants. There is a choice of beaches all within half an hour's drive. The area is of great historical significance, having been occupied by the Romans, and then more recently having been on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella in Spain. Many of the churches are of Roman influenced architecture, including the nearby parish church of St Thomas de Conac. The large town of Saintes (about half an hour away) boasts an impressive cathedral and a Roman amphitheatre.
In short the locality is one which has something for everyone, and is renowned for the second most sunny climate in France after the Cote d'Azur.
