The beach resort of El Medano is just a short drive away (9km). A paradise for windsurfers and those looking to avoid the more commercial resorts. It has a beautiful 'blue flag' beach just off the town square where you will also find many bars and restaurants, all supplying a varied cuisine, Canarian and International. Further along the coast are the well-know resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas with their white sandy beaches and bustling night-life.
It is an excellent base for golfers (with a choice of 6 different golf courses) . It is also ideal for exploring the entire Island due to its' easy access to the motorway links.
