This recently renovated village house is located in a cul-de-sac in the village of São Bartolomeu, between the holiday resorts of Altura and Monte Gordo. Beach Praia Verde is 2 Km away (EC blue flag). Here you can enjoy 15 Km of fine sandy beaches. In São Bartolomeu one finds bakery, mini-market and 2 restaurants; Altura (4 Km) with fruits, vegetables and fresh fish market, supermarkets, newspapers and restaurants; Castro Marim (5 Km), with fruits, vegetables and fresh fish market, mini-markets, post office, chemistry, health centre; Monte Gordo (5 km) with shopping zone, street traders, restaurants, bars and casino or Vila Real de Santo António (7 km) all kinds of shopping facilities, “towel mile”, and bridge crossing to Spain. From here you can make a trip also with the ferry boat over the Guadiana river to the Spanish town Ayamonte and enjoy a siesta with wine and tapas. Railway station within walking distance from property.
The house has a combined living/dining room with satellite-TV and radio. The couch can be converted to a bed for a younger child. The kitchen is equipped with stove, refrigerator with freezer, toaster, microwave, kettle, juicer and coffee machine. The first bedroom has a double bed. The second bedroom has a bunk bed (each with 200x90 cm). There is a shower room. In front of the house is a small terrace phacing south, with seat furniture and a sun umbrella. Heating for the cooler season is sufficiently present.
Bed linen and towels included, weekly change (no beach towels).
This is a non-smoker domicile.
Small pets accepted on request.
In direct proximity lies a large protected area, famous for its flora and fauna. Rare birds such as flamingos and storks can be observed. Do not forget your camera.
Within a range of 10 Km there are 7 golf courses in Spain or Portugal.

Monte Gordo:
For centuries fishermen's shacks were the only sign of human life on the broad sands surrounded by pine woods. The beauty of the beach and the warm, safe waters attracted the first foreign tourists in the 60s, making Monte Gordo something of a pioneer in the development of tourism in the Algarve. Today it is an international tourist destination and counts a casino among its more urbane attractions.
