A[artment 40, on the 3rd floor is fully furnished and equipped with top quality furniture and fully equipped for self-catering. It comprises entrance hall with 2-piece cloakroom, toilet and wash basin. The open plan livingroom has a double sofa bed, sofa, coffee table, dining table and 6 stand chairs. There is asideboard, TV, DVD player. Incorporated is afitted kitchen in cherry wood fully equipped with oven, hobs, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, filter coffee maker, cutlery, crockery and all cooking utensils.
The bedroom has adouble bed, dressing table, bedside cabinets in cherry wood and en-suite with toilet wash basin and shower cubical. There is a large wardrobe with storage just ouside the bedroom. All linen and towels are provided. There is a small balcony with views to the Pirin Mountaims.
There is a Ski Locker for skiing equipment in the basement.
The comprehensive on site facilities of Chalet Montagne include Sauna, Jacuzzi, Solarium, Massage Room, Gym, Lobby Bar, Table Tennis, Laundry Drying Room, Internet Club, Underground secure parking and 24 hours security and reception.
Children are welcome but there are no facilities fro babes and infants.

BOOKING CONDITIONS:
This apartment is also available on a per night basis, please divde by 7 for the per night cost.
Minimum duration of stay is 3 nights in Winter and 5 nights in Summer.
Peak weeks, Christmas and New Year full payment required when booking. Other weeks a 30% non-retunable deposit is required to confirm booking. Thereafter the booking balance of 70% is due 28 days before arrival.
GBP 100 refundable deposit required to cover possible breakages, returned on departure should everything be in order. This is also due when booking balance of 70% is paid.

Taxis are available from the airport at about £40 one way. Car hire is available from www.bulgariacarrent.com or www.rentacarbulgaria.com. It costs approximately £11 per day including unlimited miles and full insurrance. Car is not required in Bansko. They also offer a cheap chauffeur driven transfer for those not wishing to drive.
There is aregular public bus service from Sofia to Bansko at acost of about 10 Euro!!

Situated in the foothills of one of the country's most beautiful mountains, Bansko is acharming and historic town with the stunning alpine backdrop formed by the Pirin Moumtains. A climatic mountain resort, Bansko is known as an alpine skiing, hiking and climbing centre, but it combines its natural beauty and outdoor oppertunities with the atmosphere of an ancient Bulgarian town from the 10th century, and boasts a wealth of culture and history, as well as traditional taverna- style cusine and colourful folklore. The traditional stone and wooden buildings are an integral part of its charm and character and many relics and monuments survive from its past.. The alpine character of the Pirin Mountains create excellent skiing conditions for all types of skiers and experts can enjoy some of the country's best downhill skiing.
Bansko town is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It consists of ancient monuments and narrow cobbled streets with stone houses with 120 monuments plus museums and the permanent ethnographic exhibitions. There are over 100 high quality taverns offering fantastic food, but also nightclubs and discos for alivelier evening. Bansko is the newest and most rapidly developing resort in Bulgaria. Forty Million Euros have been invested, to create a top rate facility with the best equipment, including a new Gondola, snow guns electronic ski pas system etc. There are 14 pistes totaling 65 km, including a unique 16 km uninterrupted ski run, starting from Tdorka Peak (2600m) at the highest point of the ski centre, all the way to base station of the gondola lift at the outskirts of town. The last 7 km of the slope are lighted, and the entire facility is equipped with artificial snow machines to ensure a great skiing experience even in warmer conditions.
Bansko is popular with snowboarders, facilities include a halfpipe. There is a top class ski school, for all levels of ability. The ski season is one of the longest, roughly mid December until the end of April.
In summer hiking and climbing are popular, with well signed routes and hikers; chalets. Mountain bikes can be hiered locally in order to experience the beautiful region. Local copanies can organise trips in the mountains e. g. white water rafting, canoeing, paragliding. Also in summer the town hosts a week long jazz festival attracting performers from all over the world.
Th Pirin National Park: Situated in the upper reaches of the Pirin Mountains encompasses rugged alpine peaks that rise above 2,500m and more than a hundred glacial lakes spread at their feet. The magnificent landscape is made up of old forests, waterfalls, caves and areas of limestone that are home to the near extinct edelweiss and the Pirin poppy. Characteristic to the park is the abundance of rare endemic species of plants and animals. Alpine mountaineering and skiing are popular, and together with the cultural heritage of the surrounding mountain settlements and stunning scenery, Pirin National Park is an attractive tourist destination.
Bansko probably offers the best Apres-ski because its unique combination of a modern mountain resort and a living rustic town with apopulation of about 10,000.
All in all Bansko is a wonderful & affordable all round resort.
BANSKO IN SUMMER: During the hot days of summer Bansko becomes a walkers paradise with treks into the Pirin National Park. The rugged mountains and glacial lakes scattered throughout them are home to many endemic and rare species of wildlife and plants.

Visit one of the many Mehanas (Restaurants) down Pirin Street offering ecellent and varied selection of both traditional and English meals which are incredibly good value. If you like apint or two, beer is only about 76 pnce. If you like more action there are nightclubs and discos. The Lion Pub at the top of Pirin Street is open 24/7 and shows most of the major football matches showing on sky.
