Market day on Wednesday in St Hilaire is bustling and the market is very large. There is a good selection of bars and cafes. The market in Mortain is on Saturday. Both St Hilaire and Mortain have swimming pools. We are 40 minutes away from Mont St Michel and just over an hour away from St Malo. The D Day landing beaches are within 90 minutes drive. There is a leisure park about 30 minutes away at St Martin de Landelles. Bungee jumping is available near Vire in the Summer months and is an easy drive away. Villedieu, which is a town full of copper and pewter shops, is less than one hour away. There are plenty of walks in the area and a very large forest about half an hour away.
